Home Staging Boston-The Business of Art and the Art of Business.
According to the Wall Street Journal the use of original art is becoming more popular within the staging industry. The WSJ sites… “It’s a pronounced shift in the strategy of staging, which traditionally held that the fastest way to sell homes, and get the highest price, was to give them a toned-down, hotel-style makeover. Now, rather than merely boxing up family knick-knacks, adding a new couch or repainting the bedroom in jewel tones, stagers are experimenting with a riskier approach”.
DaVinci Designer Gallery was included in this article after using the works of long time friend and fellow artist, Debra Highberger, in a newly developed Marblehead condo. Not only did the condo sell for $700,000….but 2 of the 5 paintings sold as well. To view the article in its entirety visit the following link on the DDG website

It is a brilliant marriage between art and real estate, particularly in today’s busy, busy world. While the home buyer is looking at the options in the real estate market, how wonderful that he/she is also being shown fabulous artwork. This is a win/win situation for the buyer, the seller and the artist. About a month ago, I saw a staging in a South Boston condominium that had been staged by DaVinci Designer Gallery where original artwork by Maureen Reddy was included in the spacious great room area. Without a doubt, the art work, along with the fabulous design of the whole condo. contributed to the quick sale. This concept of combining art and real estate is effective and profitable for all involved in the real estate market today!
