A picture is worth a thousand words with home staging!
Have you ever wondered how good your room really looks? Believe it or not a photograph of your space is probably the most honest critic there is! It truly is amazing how many flaws you find by simply taking a picture. Take a look at this room before staging:

I was asked this past week to help a client who had been trying to sell her home for about 6 months with no success. She really felt like her home was nice and nicely decorated and couldn’t understand why people were not even coming to look at it.
When I arrived at the house for the home staging consultation, I knew immediately what needed to be done so I encouraged my client to roll up her sleeves and get ready to pack!
My client was such a good sport and very trusting. The whole time we worked she asked, “are you sure that it isn’t too plain?” I encouraged her that what we were doing would truly make her home marketable.
The point in which this truth of “simplifying” her decor really came alive to her is when she saw the before/after pictures of her room. She had become so accustomed to living in her home that she no longer “saw” what was actually there. In the end she was so glad that she went through the process. Now she not only has a house that will probably sell very soon, but she also has a whole lot of her packing already done! What a great result!
