DAY SIX
Boy, I am tired. I just finished teaching a long class, drove to Nashville from Charlotte, and have been working on a new website. Plus all the family commitments and things I want to do, some days I get out of bed and just want to climb back, and pull the blankets up over my head. Sound familiar?
If you are anything like me, you try to be a people pleaser. I am always trying to not let someone down, and invariably, I do. Why, simply because there is one of me and so many more people in the world I want to nurture and take care of, it is overwhelming. Each day goes by and the list of “must do” never seems to dwindle. I get tired just thinking about it.
So every once in a while, I need to call a “snow day.” Now in Pennsylvania, we have plenty of that but for the most part, (just like life) you just keep going. Every once in a while, I give snow day myself permission to do nothing. Read a book, watch a Lifetime Movie or Mama Mia for the 10th time. That is as much a part of growing my business as everything else I do.
