""I am now able to follow my passion" is a phrase that I love to say. Ever since I was a little girl, I enjoyed arranging and rearranging my bedroom. When my mother was away at work, I would pull out her interior design furniture templates and tools and arrange and rearrange furniture on paper. As an adult, I followed the typical corporate career path in the Health Industry for over 20 years in various management positions; but after taking a couple of training classes from Marcia Smart of Smart Interiors and Director of I.R.I.S, I knew I had to follow my passion. The passion I've had for so many years.

My passion includes redesign, decorating updates, organizing and home staging as well as being with my husband and 2 grown boys. I enjoy "home styling" because it allows me to be creative and see immediate results. It also makes me feel good to know that I've made others feel good about their home and in such an affordable manner.

One of my first clients sent me a thank you card (after calling me and saying "I love it, I just love it" that said "Thank you so much for the great job you've done on my house. I'm still amazed when I look around. I look forward to working with you on the other rooms in my house". And not only has she enjoyed working on the other rooms in her home but so have I!

The most recent feedback I received was on a home that I redesigned and updated. The feedback from the husband was: "Wow, I never knew our house could look like this".

Redesigning, decorating, organizing and home staging doesn't have to be expensive to make a home look good. It just takes someone that understands how to enhance the architectural elements of a room by incorporating balance, scale, texture and color. My favorite decorating tip is to look outside the box. You don't always need to use an item for its intended purpose. For example, don't just use a tablecloth for a table, make it a slip cover for your ottoman.
It can save you lots of money and time when you purchase a tablecloth at a local chain verses buying yards of fabric and by purchasing the correct size it can become a no sew project. Always keep your eyes open for new uses for everyday items.
