In 2005 she opened Décor By You with the goal of sharing what she has learned with her neighbors. She loves to learn new things and has more than 200 hours of continuing education in the fields of art, floral design, painting and decorating. In 2005 she went to Napa, California for an intensive hands-on training camp in the field of Interior Redesign. Upon completion of the course she gained a designation of Interior Redesign Industry Specialist (IRIS). As an IRIS, she has the gratifying pleasure of changing people's lives through their living environments. She understands that how your home looks is not nearly as important as how your home feels and she works with each individual client to create a healthy, happy home ...very often using what they already have. In 2006 she became interested in the fast growing field of Home Staging. There is an art to home staging, and she went directly to the source to learn it. Barb Schwarz is the pioneer credited with creating the concept of home staging nearly 30 years ago. She enrolled in Barb's in-depth home staging course in Palm Springs, California and in 2007 she became an Accredited Staging Professional (ASP). As an ASP she gets to help sellers bring out the best features in their house, resulting in getting the most money for the sale of their home in the least amount of time. In 2008 she moved to Glendale, Arizona and expanded her business into a full scale creative venue called The Craft Retreat.
